Used by the Owner to retain the services of a design professional consultant that will assist the Owner in preparing the design-build procurement documents (RFQ, RFP, price proposal form); the design-build conceptual documents; and the project’s other contract documents. May also assist the Owner in selecting the design-builder. The scope of the Owner’s Consultant’s services in the Agreement may be expanded to include additional services. The Owner’s Consultant is not the project’s design professional of record. EJCDC D-500 was revised in 2016 to better reflect the typical services of an Owner’s Consultant in design-build project delivery.
