A panel composed of Hugh Veit, Susan Sprague, and Rebecca Bowman, NSPE Sr. Director for Ethics and Professional Practice and NAFE Executive Director will examine the duties of Canon III.  The panel will look at a variety of situations where circumstances can tempt (and even encourage) engineers to dance around the edges of Canon III.

He worked as a consulting engineer for 39 years, being registered in three states; North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. He is currently retired. During his career, he specialized in water supply, treatment and distribution including work with rural water systems, wastewater collection and treatment, and streets and highways.
Susan Sprague, P.E., F.NSPE has over 34 Years of experience with all types of infrastructure projects in PA, MD, and DC. Susan is a licensed PE in 5 states (PA, MD, OH, DC, and VA), a Certified Construction Specifier (CCS), and Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI) in PA.   She has a BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and is a Senior Associate at Johnson, Mirmiran and Thompson where she has been employed since 2006.
Ms. Sprague was elected Treasurer of NSPE in 2019.   Since 2016, Susan has been on the NSPE Board of Ethical Review, and Chair since 2018. She is a past-president of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers.  In her spare time, she plays golf and takes ballroom dancing lessons.  She lives with her husband of 24 years in Dallastown, PA.
Rebecca A.
