Speakers: Gregory Mowry, PhD
 
Gregory Mowry is an engineering professor in the school of engineering at the University of St. Thomas. His research focuses on reliable, robust, and economic microgrids; alternative energy systems; and power electronics, for humanitarian and commercial use. Prior to his time in academia, Mowry spent 25 years in corporate industry serving as an inventor, research and development scientist, engineer, and entrepreneur. His most substantive efforts focused on nanotech, materials, micromagnetics, and lasers and optics. He is named on 40 patents and has published in four different professional fields of study.
