There is a significant difference between a barber and a professional engineer, but many state politicians are naïvely classifying the two together.  Since the start of 2016, 25 states have introduced legislation and/or regulations that would erode and even destroy PE licensure as we know it today, all in the name of job creation.
 
NSPE is fighting to ensure that the licensing of professional engineers is recognized as an integral part of protecting the public and treated like a medical license.  In this one-hour webinar, NSPE Executive Director Mark Golden, NCEES CEO Jerry Carter, and Arizona State Board of Technical Registration’s Executive Director Melissa Cornelius will address the concerted national effort to undermine licensure on a state-by-state basis.
 
Participants will:
  • Learn more about the proposed threats occurring across the states;
  • Understand how the proposed threats impact the PE;
  • Identify how the threat has grown in 2016 and 2017; 
  • and Gain insight on what to expect in 2018.
